A little bit about the Club

We hold our Meeting upstairs in Lee's Pub,  Main Street, Greystones Road, Kilcoole, Co Wicklow On the last Wednesday of every month  

Starts at 7.30 to 10.30 Please if you arrive early, wait downstairs untill 7.30 to allow us to set up, thanks

Next meeting is the 24th of June 

There will be a lovely prize for each Challenge I set, and I need at least 10 entries to make this work so check out the full details and the card Template Challenge here Good Luck

Thanks Everyone for your help making the cards for the Hospice last night, a Special thanks to Clare for all her help with the running of the evening, we have now boosted the number of cards for the Blackrock Hospice to about 1000, so hopefully we can now sell them all and get much needed funds for special treatments for the patients.

If you run a craft club or are a member of a craft club, and fancy coming along as a guest to one of our meetings please get in touch.

Over June July and August as numbers drop off with holidays we will have a more formal card making class, making 2 kits with a break in between, the cost of the evening would increase to €10.00 to include the 2 kits, with a break in the middle for refreshments,if you want to bring your own bits and pieces to make your own kits then please do,

Charity Cards for Blackrock Hospice 

To Clare, Anne Rowe and Aiveen, who came along to help Karen and myself make the kits for the Charity last Monday, and a second big thank you to Clare who came again today to make the kits for the Marathon, 

Thank you to everyone who picked up kits to make and to thoses of you who have already returned card and taken extra kits, your all Stars,

To the Girls on Cara Crafts Lisa, Barbara, Geraldine,Angela, Elisa and Pepsi (Mary) thank you very much your cards have helped boost the numbers greatly.

Just to let you know we have well over 1000 cards already, keep check in to see the how much money we raise for the Charity.

Also a huge thank you to Roberta and Jane who came to put the inserts and greetings on the cards. we are now finished and ready for sale next weekend

Simply Stamping and Having Fun Day

If there is a particular paper craft technique you would like to see demonstrated please just email me and I will do my best to get it demonstrated on a club night, also if there is anything you want mentioned at the club or here on the website please let me know, if there is anything you think we could do to improve the club night just ask, either myself or Mary will try to sort it out,

Each month at the club, 2 members will do the baking and clean up as there is so many of us it will mean you will only be asked to do this about once, in a year.

 If you can't make a night you are due to bake or set up and tidy the pub please can you get some one to swap with you.

If 2 members bake that should be enough with Biscuits. If you are not into Baking you can bring along some biscuits and savoury snacks.  Don't forget to bring your own mug along if you want a bigger drink as the pub only supply cups.

Club Raffle

Each month we have a raffle at the club and the money we raise goes towards the hire of the room in Lee's and when we have party nights you have a reduced entrance or meal, any funds left over are used to buy spot prizes for the following month's raffle, please if you have any unwanted gifts or craft items can you donate them to the club, please can you drop these off to my house as I don't drive and end up with having to bring them back home at the end of the evening, many thanks Yvonne and Mary

We need to get some craft tables. and have been saving funds made at the club to buy 4, but we were lucky enought to win a sponsorship from the EBS of €250.00 so added some more funds and now have our own 4 craft tables.

If you have any cards made to donate please pass them on to Roberta, We will have a box at the club night every month, where you can leave them, if you had any bits left over from last night, you can use them for Roberta's Charity

How the birthday list works, each month at the club the member celebrating their birthday received cards for fellow members, you do not have to take part in the swap, only those birthday dates I have, have been included, if you want to join the list, please give me your details at the next club night. There is nothing nicer than receiving cards from new friends. So please join in the fun.
