Our Next Fun Day will be in April and will be in aid of the Blackrock Hospice full details below

Kilcoole Craft Clubs

Chosen Charity for May 2008 to May 2009

Is the Blackrock Hospice

Each year at the Club we will choose a charity to support, this year it was the Blackrock Hospice

We have been making handmade cards and donating them to the hospice to be sold or used by patients to write message home since May last year, as the year is nearly up we want to give one more big push to support this very deserving cause.

So this is how you can help

Every year the hospice have there own Charity event

The Little Flower Day

Held on the Saturday the 4th of July… Time 12.00 to 4.00

And Sunday the 5th of July… Time 12.00 to 4.00

Where you can buy a plant which will be planted in the beautiful gardens of the Hospice in Name or Memory of someone special. Each plant has a little name card added so that if you visit you can find your plant. They also sell items and do some much needed fund raising, so we would like to make and donate as many as possible of our handmade cards, the Hospice have asked Karen to run a card stall on the day as last year the hospice sold the cards we donated themselves and it was a great success, only they ran out of cards, so we need to make more this year.

This is what we have come up with

And we hope you’ll all take part and have a great Fun Day as well.

Date for the Fun Day is

Saturday the 16th of May in Lee's Pub

Time11.00 to 5.00

And will be a card making day and every card made will be donated to the hospice, we will fund the cost of hiring St Patrick’s hall with the money we raise at the March Club Raffle, so if you got? Any unwanted Christmas gifts please donate them in aid of the hospice raffle at the February Club Night. We will hold the raffle at the March club meeting,

This is where you can help

Please have a craft room clear out, items you bought when you first started crafting and feel you will no longer use please bring them along to the March Club night however small the bag is, we will be very grateful,

And we will supply all the materials needed to make and finish off the cards,

We need your skills

Please come along on the Fun Day even if you can only give an hour or two, and make cards for us, everything will be set out, and ready to use. You will need to bring your own tool kits and something for lunch and a mug, as always tea/coffee and light refreshments will be provided all day.

Also just to up date you on the Raffle Karen run at the Christmas Party Night

She raised the magnificent sum of

€800.00

There will be NO SHOP at this event as it’s purely a fun day and in aid of the Blackrock Hospice

If any one has any other suggestions to help with this event please can you chat to Karen.

Hi Yvonne,
Thanks a million for a brilliant day. You and your team did a fantastic job. Not only are you super at cardmaking but you also have all the organisational skills to carry off a day like today.
I'm having a glass of wine to unwind and i'm looking forward to going through and trying out my purchases.  Hope you too will get a well earned chance to put your feet up .
Next time I will see you will be at the Christmas Party. Thanks again, Anne Lennon.
