Working on a crafters companion board

I am still working on this Turorial and I will add photos for this tutorial later on this evening

You will need

2 x A4 Sheets of Card

1 Sheet of die cut floral decoupage the one I used had 3 images on it

Some extra floral images

A Birthday greeting and a little poem

some extra card for matting and layering

you can make this project with any images

Glue, Foam pads and Doublesided tape

1. Fold two A4 pieces of card in half. One piece will be the outside of the card and one piece will be the inside.

2. Score the inside card again on the Tri-fold A4 line and on the 5inch Sq fold line. Now turn the card around and score again on both lines. This will give you 5 score lines on your card.

3. Now Fold your inside card in half to make a C5 card, you will see 2 score lines from the folded butt edge.

4. Now you need to make the cuts to form the Pop-ups

5. Measure 2cm from edge and cut to the back score line.

6. Measure 4 -1/2 cm and cut to back score line.

7. Measure 2cm from edge and cut to the first score line.

8. Measure 4cm from edge and cut to the first score line.
9. Measure 2cm from edge and cut to the back score line

10. Measure 4 -1/2 cm and cut to back score line.

11. You will be left with a 2cm fold at the end

12. When finished you will have 6 cut lines.

13. The 1st outer pieces push back.

      The second two sections push

      forward.

The 3rd two sections push back.

And lastly the middle section pushes

      forward.

14. To stick the pop-up card to the outside C5 Card

15. Put 2 strips of Double sided tape on the outside and on the inside on

the left and right outer panels.

And also put double sided tape on both sides of the back middle section.

16. Stick one panel to the outside card

Now stick the middle section down

And lastly the other outside panel

Now to Decorate

17. Add your Greeting Panels to top and bottom

18. decide which decoupage to want to add to 2 of the Pop-up panels and add the tulip pot to the middle

To Finish

19. Decorate the front of card with 2 toppers, one been the last of your decoupage and the other with the watering can, add a few tiny peel-offs or some stickles to look like rain drops

This card still fits in a C5 Envelope

Inserts for C5 card

Well this is how I do mine, so here it goes.

1. Open new page on Microsoft word,

2.Change page layout to landscape

3. Add 2 columns, you will then have to move spacer bars to 1cm at both sides.

This will give you 2 even spaced columns. And will make the insert centralised

4. Now to add a picture

Go to goggle click on images, and choose an image i.e. if you are doing a wedding card look for wedding bells/wedding flowers/wedding rings.

When the little box appears with the image in it, click on See full size image “which is next to the image in red”, when the image has opened larger, copy image and paste to your left column, centralise the image and drop down to centre of sheet,

Now drop down until you jump over to the right column. And type your poem or greeting, choose a colour ink to match the image, choose your font size and font you like, centralise the greeting and drop down to centre of sheet, and print

See picture below

Your page will be slightly to big to fit inside your card so fold in half and trim 3 mm from sides and 3mm from either top or bottom of the insert, use a corner or a boarder punch to add some pretty detail.

Hope this helps anyone struggling with there inserts Yvonne
